Penulis Burma is right in saying that Rohingyas are Bengalis, but it is wrong in saying that they can’t be citizen of the country, as they have been there since 1430, when Arakan was a vassal state of Bengal Sultanate.

বার্মার এ-কথা সঠিক যে, রোহিঙ্গ্যারা বাঙালী, কিন্তু এ-কথা বেঠিক যে, তারা দেশটির নাগরিক হতে পারবে না; কারণ তারা ওখানে আছে ১৪৩০ খ্রিষ্টাব্দ থেকে, যখন আরাকান ছিলো বাঙ্গালা সালতানাৎয়ের একটি করদ রাজ্য।
